Hey, Hey; Are You Okay?
Hello, my loves, especially you here in the Philippines! Hope you're all doing okay.
Saw typhoon Falcon's aftermath in TV. It didn't look good, although I'm glad it didn't happen to be another Ondoy (by the way, this link leads to Ondoy's OWN website. It has its OWN website).
Isn't it great, that finally our government has learned from its mistakes? For the last--I don't know--hundred plus years of our independence, this government and its people know that we are a country that is hit by various natural disasters all year round. Aside from the fact that our geographic location is conveniently placed in the Pacific Ring of Fire, typhoons also have a liking of going over our country because we are surrounded by seas and an ocean plus the fact that we're a tropical country. So, there should have been a thousand and one reasons our government should have prepared for Ondoy two years ago.
Enough of whining, they're doing their job now anyway. This morning at Unang Hirit, Arnold Clavio (wiki link, sorry) interviewed a guy (didn't get his name) from the International Rice Research Institue saying that they actually have seedlings designed to withstand flood for 14 days. Wow. Is that genetic engineering or what? Anyway, not only that, Local Government Units have also now taken initiative to prepare for the rainy season. Good job, people!
Anyway, I just wanted to check: HEY, HEY. ARE YOU OKAY? Whether yes or no, I pray that God will bless you today--whether you are at school, at work, or like me--a plain home buddy!

I'm okay! We have work and lots to do and little sleep! XD
ReplyDeleteHey Mark! Glad you were able to survive Falcon! Haha!
ReplyDeleteAnd so did all other things have survived Falcon--work left undone, homeworks to be finished, rodents and insects that seem to outlive us in natural disasters like this.
Life goes on!
