The Journey Begins NOW
A couple of days ago, I posted in this famous social networking site: “The Writer is screaming from the inside: GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!” Can you blame me? The last write up I made was 17 days ago. SEVENTEEN. DAYS. A self-proclaimed writer here has ran out of topics to write about; or maybe I do have issues I want to talk about but I lack the time to process or conjure theses and ideas.
This little girl here says she's a writer. Does she look like one? |
This writing desire is more than a phase; it’s like a craving waiting to be fulfilled. I relish the moment of finishing a thesis on an issue or a topic, and now I miss it! TERRIBLY!
In college, I kept an active blog life in Multiply and when I took a blogger type exam, it said there that I'm a pundit blogger. Now, that active blogging is a thing of past (as in "2 years ago" past). There's no point (for me) going back to Multiply because the traffic there has slowed down. If my aim is to be a writer, I want to be read and that's no place for my "write ups" anymore. Hence, this blog.
If I’m serious about this writing fetish, then something must be done. I remember reading this from Lao Tzu: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” The first step has to be taken—not tomorrow, not later but NOW.
If you’re reading this up to this part, then you are my friend. *Wink* Thank you for putting up with my rants and whines. And since you already did that, maybe we can push it a little further. I write for myself and friends (for now), so I want to put out a qualitative survey, not to fish for complements or anything, but really to narrow down my choices of writing (so yes, you can be biased. Ha. Ha.).
And the question is: What topic do you think I can write best about? (The more specific, the better!) Why do you think so?
Both questions need to be answered. The comment box here is open to your suggestions and/or violent reactions.
The journey begins NOW! THANK YOU!
Blog about what you do everyday... and if all else fails... do the hustle!
ReplyDeleteMark, now THAT puts pressure on my life AS WELL! I have to do interesting stuff! O_O
ReplyDeleteGod and other inspiring things. If you feel like being daring, make a bucket list and as you go along every item, share the story =)
ReplyDeleteAlam mo yan. Si God, di pwedeng hindi pag-usapan.
ReplyDeleteAs for the bucket list... hesitant ako dyan. I'm not a list kind of person. Hehe. I don't know if you noticed that. I like to be surprised and take the day as it comes. Making a bucket list for me feels like forcing things to happen. :)
